1. God

There is one and only one living and true God. He is the Creator of heaven and earth. He is an intelligent, spiritual, and personal Being. He is perfect in holiness, infinite in wisdom, and measureless in power. To Him man owes the highest love, reverence, and obedience. The eternal triune God reveals Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being.

(Matthew 28:19; 1 John 5:7 (KJV)).

1.1.     God the Father

God, as Father, reigns with providential care over His universe and His creatures according to the purposes of His grace. God is Father in truth to those who become children of God through faith in Jesus Christ. He is fatherly in His attitude toward all men.

Matthew 5:16, 45, 48; Matthew 6: 1, 8, 14, 15, 26,32; Matthew 18:14; Matthew 23:9; Mark13:32; Luke 10:22; Luke 11:13; John 5: 20, 22, 37; John 8:16, 38; John 14:26; John 20:17; Rom 15:6; 1 Cor. 1:3; 1 Cor. 8:6; 2 Cor. 1:2; 1 John 2:1.

1.2.     God the Son, Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is God, the living Word, who became flesh through His miraculous conception by the Holy Spirit and His virgin birth. Hence, He is perfect Deity and true humanity united in one person forever.

Jesus is God manifest in the flesh   (1Timothy 3:16).

He is the Lord and Savior of those who believe in  Him and accept Him whole-heartedly (John 1:12; John 3: 15, 16,   36; John 10:9; Acts 16:31)

Jesus Christ came into the world to suffer and die for the sins of mankind - Isaiah 53:3, 5-7; Rom. 4:25; 1 Cor.15:3-8). He rose from the dead (Mat. 28:6-7; Mark 16:6, 9, 14; Luke 24:6,34; John 21:14; 1 Cor.15:20)…

He ascended bodily into heaven and is now sitting on the right hand of God the Father as our High Priest and Intercessor (Mark 16:19; Acts 1:9-10; Acts 2:33; Rom 8:34; Col. 3:1; Heb 1:3; Heb 8:1; Heb 10:12; Heb 12:2; 1 Peter 3:22).

1.3.     God the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is fully God. He is eternal, omniscient, omnipresent, has a will, and can speak.

He inspired holy men of old to write the Scriptures. He exalts Christ. He convicts men of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment. He calls men to the Savior, and effects regeneration.

He cultivates Christian character, comforts believers, baptizes believers and bestows the spiritual gifts and power. His presence in the believer in Christ is the guarantee that God will bring the believer into the fullness of the stature of Christ.

Mat. 28:19; Acts 5: 3, 4; 2 Cor. 13:14; Job 33:4.

2. The Bible

The Holy Bible is, in its entirety, the inspired living Word of the living God (2 Tim 3:16-17; 2 Pet. 1:20-21; 2 Pet. 3:2). It is infallible, true, steadfast, sacred, powerful and precious (John 17:17; 2 Tim 2:15; Psalm 19:7, 10; Heb 4:12).

The Bible as the Word  is:

· the food for soul by which a child of God grows spiritually (1 Pet. 2:2; Psalm 19:16; Mat 4:4)

· the sword of the Spirit by which a child of God fights off the enemy (Eph 6:17; Heb 4:12)

· the light by which a child of God sees in the darkness of the world (Psalm 119:105; 2 Pet 1:19)

3. Man

Man was originally created in the image of God. He sinned by disobeying God. As a result he became separated from God and fall from Grace.

Every man inherited the sin of Adam and died spiritually.

4. The Second Birth

A person needs to be born again, regenerated, to be saved and made spiritually alive (John 3:3-7; 1 Peter 1:23)

The second birth is experienced through genuine repentance from sin and faith in the Lord Christ (Luke 13:3, 5; Mark 1:15).

5. Salvation

Salvation involves the redemption of the whole man, and is offered freely to all who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.

In its broadest sense salvation includes regeneration, justification, sanctification, and glorification.

5.1. Regeneration, or the new birth, is a work of God's grace whereby believers become new creatures in Christ Jesus through repentance from sin toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

5.2.  Justification is the work of God’s grace that makes a man stands before God  ‘just as if he has never sinned.’ It brings the believer unto a relationship of peace and favor with God.

5.3. Sanctification is the experience, beginning in regeneration, by which the believer is set apart to God's purposes, and is made holy before God by the blood of Jesus. It is the grace that enables a man to live a holy life.

5.4. Glorification is the culmination of salvation and is the final blessed and abiding state of the redeemed.

6. Holiness

All born-again Christians, being sanctified by the blood of Jesus, must live HOLY lives and walk in holiness as the habit of their regenerated lives,  not given up to worldly pleasures, not fashioning themselves after the order of what they see in the world around them, but living according to the standard set by the Bible .

1 Peter 1:15; 2 Cor7:1; Eph.4:24; Heb.12:14; 1Thes.4:3; Gal.5:15-21

Worldliness is opposed to the will of God and so must be avoided by the children of God (1 John 2:15-17).

7. Baptism with the Holy Spirit

Baptism with the Holy Spirit, accompanied by the initial physical sign of speaking with other tongues, is a real experience subsequent to the experience of the Second Birth and salvation.

8. Gifts of the Holy Spirit

The gifts of the Holy Spirit listed in 1 Corinthians 12 are available today for the Church of Christ and the people of God who are baptized with the Holy Spirit.

The manifestations and operations of the Holy Spirit are still for today and are essential for the advancement of Christ’s kingdom on earth and the total victory of the Church of Christ.

Acts 2:1-4; Acts 19:6 1Cor.12; 1 Cor. 14; Mark 16:16-17; Acts 4:33

9. Divine Healing

Divine healing is provided for in the redemptive work of our Lord Jesus Christ and can be enjoyed by man through the prayer of faith.

Mat.10:7-8; Mark16:16-17; James 5:14-15; Acts 4:33)

10. Heaven and Hell

There is a heaven to gain and a hell to shun.

Heaven is a place of eternal peace, joy and happiness for the born-again children of God

Hell, on the contrary, is a place of eternal punishment and torment for the unrepentant sinners and unbelievers

Rev.7:15-17;Mat.13:41-42.

11. Restitution

A person should make necessary restitution when he begins the new life in Christ

Luke 19:8-9; Matt.5:23-24.

12. Good Works

A child of God, although saved by grace only, should give himself to good works.

Heb 6:9-10; Mat 25:34-40; Tit 2:7; Tit 3:8, 14.

13. Angels and Demons

There are uncountable numbers of angels, spiritual beings, created by God, who are serving the Most High and are ministering to the children of God (Heb 1:7,14; Heb 12:22; Rev. 5:11,12).

The devil (Satan) and demons are real, wicked spiritual beings. They were cast out of heaven because of their rebellion against God (Isa 14:12-15; Luke 10:18). They are now in the world, fighting against God and His people (Eph 6:12

Satan and his demons will be judged by the Lord Jesus Christ in the end and be cast into eternal fire to be tormented day and night forever and ever  (Mat 25:41; Jude 1:6; Rev. 20:10).

14. The Church

The eternal Church of Christ is one. It is made up of people who have been washed in the blood of Christ and are born again by the Spirit of God.

Christ is the Head of the Church and the Church is the body of Christ.

The Church is not a denomination or a set of doctrines (Eph 1:22-23; Eph 5:23-27).

15. The Second Coming of Jesus into the World and the End of the World.

Jesus is coming back again to take the prepared children of God to heaven. This event is often referred to as ’the Rapture’ (John 14:1-3; Acts 1:10,11;  1Thes 4:16-17).

Jesus will come into the world to put an end to the Great Tribulation and reign on earth for one thousand years (Rev 19:19-20; Rev 20:1-3).

This present universe will be destroyed at the end of all things and a new, heavenly universe from God will replace it (Isa. 34:4; Isa. 51:6; 2 Pet. 3:10; Rev. 21:1-2).

16. Judgment

Every human being will be judged at some particular time by the Lord Jesus Christ (Rom 14:10).

The believers and unbelievers will be judged at different times and for different reasons (1 Cor 3:12-15; Rev. 20:11-12)
